Internship & Residency Guidelines

The intern/resident process is coordinated by the Onboarding Department’s Sr. Vice President.  Following the update or creation of an internship or residency description, the department coordinator may place a posting for general visibility.

When posting an internship or residency opportunity at a local institution of higher learning, the United Way of Pioneer Valley (UWPV) will include several pieces of essential information in order to ensure that our expectations are clear and that our needs are met to the fullest possible capacity.

Applicant information is screened by the Onboarding Department’s Sr. Vice President and/or President CEO, and viable candidates may be invited to interview with the position supervisor or any other person deemed appropriate. In the event that multiple interviews are necessary, a cross functional team approach may be taken, including staff who would be working with the successful candidate.
