Food Security

Springfield Service Center

In Hampden County, over 49,000 people don't have enough to eat.

Many families face difficult choices between buying food and meeting other basic needs. At United Way Pioneer Valley, we provide food pantry services as part of the Food Bank of Western MA, offering non-perishable, fresh, and frozen foods. Our goal is to serve everyone with dignity and respect, making registration as simple as possible because we believe every person walking through our doors deserves full support.

Our Springfield, Holyoke, and Chicopee Cupboards are open weekly, providing food, toiletries, and other essential items to help our community. Beyond food security, we offer resource coordination through staff trained in Mobility Mentoring®️ by EmPath. We collaborate with 413Cares and welcome program providers to table and hold outreach activities, ensuring our members can access the services they need. Our emphasis is on empowering individuals and families, ensuring they have access to the food and services that support their journey toward economic mobility.

We're here to help.
