Community Leadership Connect (CLC), an innovative approach cultivating a culture of leadership to enhance our community.
Through mentorship, peer support, and access to vital resources, this program is designed to nurture emerging leaders across various sectors, offering tools and networks that will strengthen the leadership fabric in our region.
Mentoring Hub
CLC will facilitate one-on-one or small group mentoring relationships by establishing a centralized mentorship hub. This network will connect experienced leaders with emerging leaders, matched based on shared interests, industries, or leadership competencies
Peer Support Circles
The program will create demographic or professional affinity groups where participants can find mutual support and learning opportunities among peers. Facilitated by regional partners, these circles will include young professionals, women leaders, entrepreneurs, and other demographic groups
Resource Inventory
CLC will maintain a continuously updated regional inventory of leadership services. The publicly accessible digital platform (database) will offer emerging leaders, mentors, and stakeholders access to a range of leadership development resources, such as training programs, workshops, and networking events
Skill Development
Working in close collaboration with Human Service Forum, CLC will feature a monthly series of workshops or trainings led by experts and community partners, providing participants with opportunities for continuous learning and skill development.
OnBoard is a programmatic resource designed to support the health and viability of our community's nonprofit leadership--the Board.
OnBoard has expanded its offerings with a series of instructional webinars, networking opportunities, and community engagement activities to prepare anyone for Board service. We invite anyone interested in serving on a Board, or just interested in learning about the integral role of the Board, to start your journey with OnBoard.
UWPV's Youth Pathway Program is designed to inspire volunteerism and career exploration.
We are proud to announce the launch of our Youth Pathway Program, a transformative 10-week initiative designed for students aged 14-16. This program offers a unique opportunity for young people to gain valuable community service hours while exploring careers in the nonprofit sector and engaging in meaningful discussions about community needs.
Through a partnership with Valley Opportunity Council (VOC) and their YouthWorks program, the Youth Pathway Program will welcome a cohort of 5-10 students, and will take place at UWPV’s Springfield Food Pantry. Participants will engage in both direct service activities and educational sessions.
