Springfield, MA (8/22/24) – year of Stuff the Bus is in the books! Following weeks of sorting donated school supplies and working with tireless volunteers to pack hundreds of colorful backpacks, delivery day came on August 22nd. The bus was stuffed at our Springfield United Way office; departing at 9:30am and delivering to 15 school districts.
UWPV is enormously grateful to AAA Northeast, Balise Auto, Peter Pan Bus Lines, Steve Lewis Subaru, and Western Mass News for hosting collection sites; and to Eversource, MGM Springfield, Monson Savings Bank, Health New England and our Community Volunteers for their kind help with this initiative.
UWPV is appreciative of all the local businesses, their employees, and our community members for their generous donations of school supplies and their time.
